2 is the ongoing finale video which marks the end of Be Takerng Pattanopas’s AR installation Mortalverse at the circular cloister of the Great Stupa of Wat Prayoon Temple in Bangkok.
It addresses the artist’s and his life partner’s mundane realities. Mortalverse AR comprises five sculptures which viewers can scan through Instagram, leading to augmented animation and sounds. Here a layered story about gay marriage and Buddhist spiritual practice, noting endless cycles of birth and death, is conveyed.
